The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) will hold its annual conference in San Diego later this month, focusing on “navigating the new admissions landscape.”
GMAC is an association of leading graduate business schools around the world. With a larger purpose of helping graduate business schools identify and admit the best-fit candidates, GMAC has been the owner and administrator of the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) since 1954. The GMAT is the most widely used graduate business school exam globally.
Emily Campion, PhD., a Student Select AI advisor who was heavily involved in the development of our product, will be a featured presenter at this year’s conference. Her session, Demystifying AI and Its Role in Admissions, will help attendees further their understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and their potential to enhance the graduate admissions process.
When asked about her inclusion at the GMAC annual conference, Dr. Campion said, “I am looking forward to presenting because GMAC offers support to a crucial group in higher education. I am eager to talk about how advanced analytics can help improve admissions work and hopefully provide at least one solution to help reduce strain on the workers in the admissions processes.”
Attendees of GMAC can attend Dr. Campion’s presentation on Friday, June 30 at 8:30am PST in Aqua Salon D. A recording of the session will be made available following the conference.
“I hope people walk away with a clearer understanding of how to use advanced analytics in their work and less hesitation about leveraging AI — and particularly natural language processing — in aiding admissions decisions,” says Dr. Campion.
